A Northampton, Mass., high school football player has been arrested on multiple charges stemming from alleged child molestations in Camden County, authorities said.
Cameron Wood, 18, of Northampton was arrested Tuesday on charges he sexually abused a boy he recruited in Northampton and that he sexually assaulted a second victim, authorities in Camden said in a news release.
Wood was charged in North Carolina with two counts of rape, two counts each of forcible oral copulation and forcible sexual penetration, the release said.
He was being held at the Camden County Jail on $1 million bail.
Wood is charged with two felony counts each for forcible child molesting and forcibility of a child under 13.
Wood’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Camden County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Lisa Breen said the case was being handled by Northampton District Attorney, who would make a decision.
